  • Summon Seikret by pressing “X” on PC or “Right D-Pad” on Console.
  • Your hunter will automatically mount Seikret.
  • Once mounted, switch to your Secondary Weapon from the sheath.

It’s important to note that swapping weapons is not instant and can leave you vulnerable, so timing is crucial.

Why Weapon Switching is a Game-Changer

This mechanic brings a new strategic element to battles. Depending on the monster and the situation, switching weapons can turn the tide in your favor.

  • Adapt to Monster Weaknesses: If a monster is resistant to one weapon type, switch to another with a different damage output or elemental effect.
  • Versatility in Combat: Struggling to land hits with a melee weapon? Switch to a ranged weapon like the Bowgun for better reach.
  • Team Play Benefits: Support allies by switching to a healing Bowgun or a defensive Lance when needed.

Weapon switching in Monster Hunter Wilds is a welcome addition that enhances combat depth and flexibility. While it’s not a mandatory feature, it provides players with more tactical options in every hunt. Whether used for faster takedowns or adapting to monster behavior, this new mechanic is sure to change the way players approach battles in the Monster Hunter universe.
