Days Gone Remastered is knocking on the door. Despite getting a lackluster reception for the original game, there is no shortage of anticipation regarding the upcoming title. The game is coming to PS5 and PC, so PS Plus fans will be highly awaiting this game. But there is a catch for them.
After an initial stumble in 2019, Days Gone still managed to develop a cult following over the year. Keeping aside the first impressions, when everybody realized how good the game was, they pleaded to Sony for an actual sequel. Sony never heard that, but brought some good news in February 2025 with the announcement of a remastered version of the game in the State of Play livestream.
You can’t get Days Gone Remastered with the $10 upgrade path via PS Plus
If you own Days Gone through PS Plus, then you can avail the $10 upgrade path for the Remastered version. However, for $10, those who already own Days Gone on the PS4 can upgrade to the remastered version.
Additionally, Days Gone PC gamers can upgrade their version of the game to include the upcoming Days Gone Remastered content by paying $10. If not,
Days Gone Remastered will cost $50 when purchased separately.
For those wanting to experience the new game modes in Days Gone Remastered without going over budget, this is really upsetting news. Some folks who have previously played Days Gone on the PS4 through their PS Plus subscription are probably going to be interested in paying $9.99 for the extra modes, but they might not be prepared to pay $50.
It is quite probable that Days Gone Remastered will eventually be included to the PS Plus Extra catalog for those who do not want to invest $50, but this is just mere speculation. However, no one would have
refused to pay the extra money, if it was for Days Gone 2.
The original game has never been a monthly free PS Plus game but was included in the PS Plus Collection. This Collection is a selection of PS4 games that customers could add to their Digital collections. One has access to the freebies as long as they were claimed during their availability and they have a current PS Plus subscription. In spite of this, Days Gone users who have access to the game through PS Plus are unable to update their copy for $10.
