Minecraft Craftmine Update Guide (April Fools' 2025)

Mojang Studios has outdone itself once again with another whimsical addition to the Minecraft universe. This April Fools’ Day, its Craftmine update took center stage, inviting the players to delve into a completely new creativity dimension. While it seems like just a jest, the limited-period update allows the players to craft their mines, packed with some unique challenges and resources. Here is a sneak peek into the quirky update and what the players could expect from it.

How to start playing Craftmine update?

Minecraft’s April Fools’ 2025 update is now available for the fans, but it is only for the Java Edition right now. So, if you are on Bedrock, you are out of luck unless Mojang suddenly decides to surprise fans and bring the update on it. To get started, you can follow the steps below.

• Open Minecraft Launcher.
• Go to the Installations tab.
• Make sure that the Snapshots are enabled. If not, tick the top-right corner available box.
• Select the latest snapshot. It should be labeled Craftmine or include the tag of April Fool.
• Select Play and start a new world.

Note: The update for the existing saves is unstable. Do not forget that snapshots can corrupt the world. So, to stay safe, you can back up the world or try to run the snapshot in different folders from the main world.


After loading, you will find the strange new block: the Mine Crafter, your ultimate ticket to the madness. Just throw in some random items, and watch as it will generate the completely unpredictable mine, an exact world you want!

How to win and exit Craftmine?

The Craftmine update challenges the players to create and navigate through the custom-made mines. With the use of the newly introduced Mine Crafter table, the players can combine varied resources to generate unique mines. Each of the crafted mines offers a one-of-a-kind adventure and a lot of rewards. It will be filled with abundant resources, too, just waiting to be harvested. However, to craft is just the beginning. You need to survive (depends on the elements of your created world) and find the exit of the mine. This is where the real challenges lie.


For success, the players must make strategic use of the crafted resources while adapting to unpredictable mine elements. The end goal is to locate the exit, which quite often needs keen exploration (as it keeps changing) and a sense of direction.


To escape, look for the glowing blue beam. It is your exit portal. It might be hidden in a cave, underwater, or even floating in the sky. If you make it out, you’ll unlock wild new rewards to unlock features and create some weirder mines.
