How to breed Armadillos in Minecraft
Armadillos spawn naturally in Savanna biomes, including regular Savannas and Savanna Plateaus. They tend to appear in small groups, so finding a pair to breed should not take too long if you are exploring the right biome. Once you find them, you can lure them back to your base using Spider Eyes held in your hand.Breeding Armadillos is quite straightforward in Minecraft, and you can end up following the steps outlined below:
- To get started, you must make sure you have at least two adult Armadillos in the same area. Fencing them is recommended so they do not wander off.
- Ensure neither Armadillo is curled up in its defensive shell. This is because an Armadillo will not enter love mode while rolled up. Move away from anything that might be startling them, such as players sprinting nearby or undead mobs in the area.
- Next, you should hold Spider Eyes in your hand and approach the first Armadillo. Right-click or use the interact button to feed it until hearts appear above its head, indicating it is in love mode.
- You must subsequently repeat the process with the second Armadillo.
- Once both are in love mode, they will move toward each other and produce a baby Armadillo.
How to get Armadillo Scutes for Wolf Armor in Minecraft
Baby Armadillos take approximately 20 minutes to grow into adults in real time. Feeding them Spider Eyes will speed up the growth process. Once an adult, Armadillos will periodically drop Armadillo Scutes on their own, but you can also use a Brush on them to collect scutes more quickly. You can then end up using the particular scutes to make Wolf Armor materials in Minecraft.
