Fortnite updates: Honkai Star rail collaboration, release date, skins, and more

Epic Games is continuing its trend of bringing major gaming collaborations to Fortnite, and they have recently announced a crossover with Honkai Star Rail. The popular gacha RPG is finally going to the battle royale experience, and you will be able to find a lot of themed content.
Chapter 7 Season 1 has already seen numerous pop culture brands make their way to the game, and Honkai Star Rail’s introduction is expected in the coming few days. It will be exciting to see all the new content that the developers will be introducing as part of the collaboration.

Fortnite x Honkai Star Rail collaboration announced

A recent post by Epic Games confirmed the Fortnite x Honkai Star Rail collaboration, and the skins will be arriving with the game’s next major update, i.e., v39.40. The new patch is set to release on February 5, 2025, and will add a lot of fresh content to the game.
Once the collaboration is live, you will be able to find the themed content making its way to the game. The Honkai Star Rail crossover will likely replace all the South Park collaboration content that is currently live in the game.
The v39.40 update will also bring a plethora of balance changes to Chapter 7 Season 1 weapons. This will ensure that the game remains fresh and competitive.

Fortnite x Honkai Star Rail skins and price

The teaser posted by Epic Games features two swords, and they essentially belong to Kafka and Blade. Kafka is likely serving as the headliner with her signature purple-hued katana. Accordingly, it is expected that the collaboration will introduce a special skin, back bling, and possibly an emote based on her "Spirit Whisper" ability.
Coming to Blade, she is expected to feature alongside her Fragmented Sword as a pickaxe. There will also be other themed items introduced to Fortnite as part of the collaboration.
Speaking of the price, the Kafka and Blade skins are expected to cost around 1,500-1,600 V-Bucks when they release in the Fortnite Item Shop. Accompanying cosmetics like back blings will cost 500 V-Bucks, and pickaxes will be priced around 800 V-Bucks.

Possible Honkai Star Rail mythic weapons

As of now, Epic has not revealed any information about Honkai Star Rail Mythics being added to the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. However, Kafka and Blade's swords from the teaser may be turned into Mythic weapons when the collaboration launches. Additionally, Epic could also relegate the Honkai Star Rail Mythics to Blitz Royale mode, introducing special quests and rewards exclusive to that mode.
