Players had to sign an NDA when they joined the recently held Battlefield 6 Lab playtest program. They did, but that didn’t stop the gameplay footage from this playtest to be leaked online. Just like the previously held closed Battlefield 6 Lab playtest, the recent one was no exception as exclusive details about the game were leaked immediately. On August 29, 2025, at 7 PM a new Battlefield 6 Lab playtest took place. Leaked Battlefield 6 Lab playtest footage reveals Portal gameplay

Despite most of the things being criticized in Battlefield 2042, one thing that stood tall was Portal. This is actually a big sandbox where players can make their own game modes, maps, rules, and more, and share that custom made game mode to others as well. The two open beta phases of Battlefield 6 confirmed that Portal was also coming to the upcoming game, but its functionality was kept limited. However, the recently leaked Lab playtest footage revealed the Battlefield 6 Portal mode in its full-fledged form, with all kinds of customization options like full map editing, scripting, and UI customization.
The leaked video was more than 5-minute long and ensured all the stuff fans can expect from the highly anticipated Portal mode in Battlefield 6. The video showcased the player selecting a part of the custom map editor and ascending to complex structures, again which was custom made. The custom map was also played by the leaker along with his fellow teammates, seemingly in an objective-based gamemode. DICE might never have wanted this clip to go viral on the internet but it actually confirms what lies ahead of the Battlefield 6 fans. The Portal toolset is itself based on the Godot game engine, and will pose exciting opportunities to the fans who are looking to set up their own worlds in Battlefield 6.Read More: Battlefield 6 Lab Test dates and how to join
