Capitals, finalists in each of the previous three editions, are still in search of their elusive maiden title and enter the do-ordie clash at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara as underdogs. The Giants and Capitals are evenly matched teams and their two league-stage meetings underlined how close this rivalry has become. While the Capitals lost both encounters, the margins were thin — four runs in the first match and three in the second.




Both teams are led by captains in good form and setting the tone from the front.

On the other hand, Giants’ skipper Ashleigh Gardner has been outstanding, currently the fifth-highest run-getter in the tournament with 244 runs from eight matches at an impressive strike rate of 142.69.

Further bolstering the Giants’ firepower is veteran allrounder Sophie Devine, the tournament’s leading wickettaker with 17 wickets. Her ability to deliver crucial spells and produce match-winning performances makes her a vital cog in the wheel.
