Muhammad Waseem, the captain of United Arab Emirates, says the past is past, they wanted to play in some manner and today was the perfect game. Mentions they were preparing for three days, they wanted to attack with the bat. Reckons it's a good moment for him, passing 3000 T20I runs and admits he wants to continue in the same manner. 

Jatinder Singh, the skipper of Oman starts by crediting UAE batters, their openers played really well and tells, they were on target during the chase but feels that they are lacking some experience and hopes with time they will play well. Tells they tried to target the Powerplay but losing so many wickets put them on the back foot. 

Alishan Sharafu wins the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD for his contribution on the top of the order. He says it was an important game and it was important to bring out their best game. Mentions that in the afternoon game, the pitch tends to be on the slower side so they played according to the conditions. Reckons he tries to play as straight as he can but is happy that everything went as planned. Admits the plan was to accelerate in the Powerplay and credits Muhammad Waseem's innings in the end.

Earlier in the game, UAE posted 172 in their innings, a par score on the Abu Dhabi pitch. Openers Alishan Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem added 50 runs, with Sharafu playing aggressively and Waseem batting supportively. Sharafu scored 51 before getting dismissed, while Waseem registered his fifty as well (his 24th fifty while also going past 3000 T20I runs). Harshit Kaushik finished the innings strongly with his cameo of 19. For Oman, Shakeel Ahmed, Jiten Ramanandi, and Hassnain Shah were economical, but the rest of the bowling crew struggled to contain the UAE batters.

Well, United Arab Emirates had the runs to play with but their bowlers didn't rest as they executed plans, scalping Oman's five wickets inside 10 overs. Chasing such a total needed a big start but only one of Oman's top five ended with a double-digit score. Later, Aryan Bisht and Vinayak Shukla scored a couple of boundaries but it never looked like Oman will get back on track. Junaid Siddique was at his best with the new ball. Muhammad Rohid played the supporting cast. However, it was Junaid Siddique's four-fer that sealed the deal.

A complete effort from United Arab Emirates and they have opened the points table in this year's Asia Cup. Meanwhile, Oman are the only team remaining to get a victory in Group A and they are officially out of the race for the next round.
