Clinical from India. This is the perfect revenge for their senior team's loss against Pakistan in the final of last year's Champions Trophy. But let's take out a moment to congratulate this Indian team who were ahead of Pakistan today in all three departments. After Shubman Gill lifted India to a formidable 272/9 from the depths of 166/5 with a strokeful 102*, the bowlers came up with the perfect second act. ALL OUT for just 69. That will stink. Ishan Porel finishes with 4/17.

India now face Australia in the final on Saturday. Both teams have won the Under 19 World Cup three times each. On current form, don't think they are beatable.

Do not blink. You might miss a wicket falling. Yes, it's happening that quickly for India. Pakistan are tottering at 45/7 as their skipper Hassan Khan departs. Riyan Parag picks up his second wicket. But, the real attraction of that dismissal is none other that Mr. Gill. The ball was going away from him, and India's centurion of the match, runs backwards and plucks a Kapil Dev like catch from the year 1983. Has to be the catch of the tournament. Stunning.

Shubman Gill hits 93-ball century (102*) to propel India to 272/9 against Pakistan

Incredible stuff this from Gill. He stayed calm and composed, and finally brought up a much-deserved century off the last ball of the innings. But wait? Last ball, was it? No. Muhammad Musa overstepped and it gave India one more go, off which they managed a single. But what an innings this has been. Gill takes his tally to 341 runs with an average of over 150. Muhammad Musa gets his second wicket. Good bouncer and Anukul Roy went for the pull. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't clear it past the wicketkeeper. The umpire didn't seem convinced but raised his finger looking at the batsman walking. Good innings none the less this from Anukul. He scores 33 off 45, but more importantly provided India and Gill a partnership they so desperately needed after being five down for 166.

We enter the final 40 minutes of the first innings. With 10 overs left, how many more runs can India get? Pakistan's batting isn't as formidable as their bowling, so anything around 250, maybe? India however, would be hoping more than that as long as Shubman Gill stays out there. He is unbeaten on 60 off 66 and is getting commendable support from Anukul Roy, who has already hit three boundaries.

Half-century for Shubman Gill. He continues his glorious form in the tournament and has held the Indian innings together- fourth 50 for him in this World Cup. His team needs more from him though. Still 15 overs left for India.

Two in two becomes three in three for Arshad. He gets his third of the innings to have India in trouble. Sends one down the leg side and Abhishek Sharma offers a feather to the keeper for 5. This is worrying for India. However, Shubman Gill, unbeaten on 46 at the other end, remains the key to their chances.

Ah! Just when the partnership seemed to be looking threatening, Arshad Iqbal comes back strong in his new spell to get rid of Harvik Desai for 20. Short ball outside off but the wicketkeeper batsman can't really connect as well as he'd have liked to. Slashes it straight to point. The breakthrough has come but Pakistan will need to avoid another partnership here.

Gill and Desai building on the strong foundation laid by Shaw and Kalra, India 145/2 in 28 overs

Gill and Desai have brought up their 50-run partnership off 62 balls. The work however is just half done. One of them needs to get a century, something that has eluded India in this world Cup. And Gill is the one who seems likely to do it. He is 33 off 40 and is batting beautifully.

Mind you, Shubman Gill has been India's highest-scorer for India in the tournament. He's scored a half-century in each of the three innings he has batted for India in the World Cup. He has scores of 63 against Australia, 90* against Zimbabwe and another 86 against Bangladesh in the quarterfinal.

They are right back into the match. Two wickets in two overs and India have lost both their set batsmen. First Shaw, and now Kalra, who inside edged this one from Muhammad Musa to the keeper. He goes for 47, allowing Pakistan to claw back. India will need to rebuild through Shubman Gill and Harvik Desai.

So after four run-out chances, Pakistan have finally hit the stumps for the first time. And it has resulted in the dismissal of the Indian captain Prithvi Shaw. Takes off for a risky single but Muhammad Musa collected the ball and dislodged the stumps. Shaw tried his best to get in; put in the dive but unfortunately for him, couldn't ground the bat as well as he'd have wanted to. Well, that's that!

Pakistan have still not been able to get a breakthrough. The Indian openers - Kalra and Shaw, however, have only gotten better. They consistently scoring at over 5.5 on a surface that is only getting better to bat on. Pakistan need to do something really quickly.

After two testing overs by Pakistan, their pacers Arshad Iqbal and Mohammad Musa have been all over the place. Too full and Manjot Kalra and Prithvi Shaw have made the most of it. After just five overs, India have managed to hit six boundaries, six of them belonging to the left-handed Kalra. In order to shake things up a bit, Pakistan have gone to left-armer Shaheen Afridi. This promises to be an interesting contest.
