Todd Murphy strolls in from around the stumps and bowls a quicker one at 94 clicks, on a good length and on a tight line around off. This is the one that goes straight on with the arm, Karunaratne gets a stride out and then shoulders arms but the ball slides on and crashes into the off stump and the former Lankan skipper is left baffled. Australia rejoice and Sri Lanka are 6/2 inside the first four overs.

Mitchell Starc to Dinesh Chandimal, Starc keeps thudding the ball into the pads and finishes off a wicket-maiden with another top delivery. On a fuller length on middle and leg, at over 143 clicks and swinging back in, Chandimal plays all over it and gets pinged on the pads but its going down leg yet again.

Mitchell Starc to Oshada Fernando, OUT! LBW! A huge appeal and given! Mitchell Starc draws first blood for Australia in the second innings but Oshada Fernando has reviewed it. Starc goes full and straight as Fernando looks to get across a bit and flick it away but falls over a bit to the off side and is beaten past the inside edge as the ball crashes into the pads. The third umpire is called in and there are a few spikes on UltraEdge but none of them are of the willow and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds. That's hitting middle of middle, a waste of a review from Fernando and Sri Lanka who are now 6/1.

Todd Murphy to Oshada Fernando, Goes full and darts it on the leg pole, Fernando brings out the reverse sweep again and drags it down to deep point for one.
