Alright then, the stage is set - 144 runs to win, and no Mohammad Shami in the bowling attack for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Having already used their Impact Player to recover from that top-order collapse, SRH will have to defend this total without their pace spearhead. Advantage Mumbai? Certainly! The pitch hasn’t shown any nasty surprises so far and has been true in nature, which means Mumbai Indians will definitely back themselves to chase this down. But cricket’s a funny game, and SRH aren’t out of it just yet. They'll need to dig deep, bring their absolute best with the ball, and maybe even conjure up a bit of magic to pull off what would be a stunning heist. Back in a bit for MI's reply!

Abhinav Manohar is in for a chat. He admits that 143 was slightly below par on the particular wicket, noting that the surface wasn't completely flat. He observed that the new ball was holding up a bit, making batting challenging initially, though conditions improved as the ball got older. The right-hander particularly mentioned the difficulty of facing spinners on this track. Regarding his role as Impact Player for SRH, Manohar revealed he was prepared to bat in case of a collapse and had already padded up when wickets started falling in quick succession. When asked about his partnership with Klaasen, he shared that their strategy was to take the game deep till the 15th over while avoiding high-risk shots. Manohar admitted that watching Klaasen bat from the non-striker's end was an education, remarking how the South African made batting look deceptively simple on what was actually a tricky surface. He emphasized that Klaasen's ability to score freely while minimizing risks was particularly impressive under the circumstances.

Though Manohar took time to settle, Klaasen remained aggressive, hammering a defiant half-century and keeping SRH alive. Soon, Abhinav found his rhythm, and the momentum shifted. From 52/5 at the halfway mark, the duo stitched a remarkable 99-run partnership, not just pulling SRH out of deep waters, but giving them a fighting total to defend.

With the top order in ruins, Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma stepped in to rebuild. They held firm for a few overs, but just as a partnership seemed to bloom, Hardik Pandya’s tactical bowling changes broke through once again. That’s when Klaasen flipped the script. He launched a fierce counterattack, finding support in Abhinav Manohar, who came in as the Impact Player.

The innings began in turmoil for SRH. Deepak Chahar was on fire in the opening over, swinging the ball both ways and putting the brakes on their explosive start. Then came Trent Boult, striking early with the prized wicket of Travis Head. What followed was pure chaos! SRH were reeling at 13/4 in no time, including the controversial dismissal of Ishan Kishan, who walked despite no visible edge.

What an incredible fightback from Sunrisers Hyderabad! At one point, even reaching 100 seemed like a distant dream, but they’ve battled their way to a gritty 143, a total that looked utterly out of reach early on. Mumbai Indians will surely be kicking themselves after letting a dominant position slip through their fingers. That said, they would’ve gladly taken this chase any day of the week.

Again a full toss from Jasprit, angling into the pads, Heinrich Klaasen whips it aerially, but does not get the distance or the height on it. Goes flat and straight towards Tilak Varma at deep mid-wicket, who runs a few steps in, and snaffles a regulation catch in the deep. Heinrich Klaasen departs for a fighting 71 (44).
