Paarl Royals vs MI Cape Town, Qualifier 1: MI Cape Town secured their spot in Saturday's final at the Wanderers in Johannesburg by defeating Paarl Royals with a 39-run margin in Tuesday's first qualifier at St George's Park, Gqeberha.

Paarl Royals still have another opportunity to advance when they face the winner of the Eliminator match between Joburg Super Kings and Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

MI Cape Town are entering the final with strong form, having secured their fifth consecutive victory and extended their undefeated streak to seven matches. Their last defeat occurred on January 15 against Paarl Royals.

In contrast, Paarl Royals are experiencing a downturn, suffering their third consecutive defeat. They had previously qualified for the playoffs due to their perfect home record, similar to MI Cape Town's achievement.

The Royals were never in the chase after losing three wickets inside Powerplay and were only kept alive by skipper David Miller's 45 off 26 balls, while Dinesh Karthik tried his bit with a knock of 31 runs. But Kagiso Rabada led the MICT bowling card with figures of 2/18, while Rashid Khan, Trent Boult and Carbin Bosch also took two wickets each.
