WI vs AUS: Shai Hope returns to West Indies Test squad for Australia series
The West Indies cricket team has recalled Shai Hope for their upcoming three-match Test series against Australia, as announced in their 16-player squad selection on Tuesday.
Hope, who leads the team in white-ball formats, earned his spot back in the Test squad following impressive performances in limited-overs cricket. His potential return to Test cricket could occur on June 25 in Bridgetown, marking his first appearance in the format since 2021.

The squad features newcomer Kevlon Anderson from Guyana, who impressed selectors with his outstanding domestic performances.
"I'm excited about the inclusion of young prospect Kevlon Anderson, who comes in after solid seasons in our domestic competitions to help provide stability in the top order, while the return of Shai Hope is welcomed given his consistency in white ball cricket," said West Indies coach Daren Sammy.
Hope's Test career statistics show 1,726 runs across 38 matches, including two centuries and five half-centuries.
The squad notably excludes experienced fast bowler Kemar Roach, who has accumulated 284 Test wickets.
Shamar Joseph, who played a crucial role in the West Indies' notable victory against Australia in the second Test at Brisbane last year, retains his position in the squad.
The series, which contributes to the 2025-27 World Test Championship cycle, will continue with matches in St George's and Kingston for the second and third Tests respectively.
Roston Chase (capt), Jomel Warrican, Kevlon Anderson, Kraigg Brathwaite, John Campbell, Keacy Carty, Justin Greaves, Shai Hope, Tevin Imlach, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Brandon King, Johann Layne, Mikyle Louis, Anderson Phillip, Jayden Seales
