Chase, named Player of the Match, struck 49 not out from 47 balls, including two sixes and the winning boundary through cover off Hasan Ali. Greaves supported with an unbeaten 26 from 31 deliveries, the pair adding an unbroken 77 for the sixth wicket.Earlier, Pakistan managed 171/7 in 37 overs after being sent in to bat. Jayden Seales was the pick of the West Indies bowlers, claiming 3-23 in seven overs. Hasan Nawaz once again top-scored for the visitors with an unbeaten 36 off 30 balls, following up his 63 not out in the series opener. His late flourish included three sixes, two coming in what proved to be the final over before rain intervened. Hussain Talat made 31, but skipper Mohammad Rizwan struggled for momentum, falling lbw to Gudakesh Motie for 16 off 38 balls.
The West Indies’ reply wobbled at 107/5 in the 22nd over after Sherfane Rutherford’s entertaining 45 from 33 balls, which featured three sixes and four fours, ended. However, Chase and Greaves calmly guided the side home to set up a winner-takes-all clash.“We had to come in and level the series, so very pleased,” Chase said afterwards.The decisive third ODI will be played at the same venue on Tuesday. Pakistan had earlier claimed the preceding T20I series 2-1 in Florida.
