NEW DELHI: An unstoppable Will Jacks stole the limelight on Thursday after he slammed a 25-ball ton during a pre-season T10 match against

Lancashire

in Dubai.

Playing for

Surrey

, Will scored 105 runs off 30 balls that included 8 boundaries and 11 sixes as he took the Lancashire bowlers to the cleaners.

The 20-year-old Englishman also smoked six sixes in an over, another rare feat during his stupendous knock.

Will first reached his fifty off just 14 deliveries and then moved on from 62 to 98 by smacking six sixes in an over from Stephen Parry.

The Surrey opener is now the first batsman to score a century in T10 cricket, going past the 87-run knock scored by Alex Hales in December, last year.

The blitzkrieg from the 20-year-old guided his side Surrey set a colossal 176 for three in their quota of 10 overs.

In reply, Lancashire could only manage 81 for 9 as Gareth Batty clinched 4 for 21, helping his side complete a comfortable 95-run win.

The match was not officially recognized. But had it been, Will would have beaten Chris Gayle’s world record of fastest recorded century (off 30 balls in 2013 IPL) by five balls.

The innings from Will, however will not be recorded in the official record books.
