Avesh Khan, bowling for Team A, became the first wicket-taker in this edition of the tournament when he enticed Easwaran, who had been watchfully observing the ball for 41 deliveries, to chase a delivery well outside his off stump. Easwaran ended up getting a thick edge on the ball, which Dhruv Jurel, the wicket-keeper for India A, spectacularly caught by diving to his right.

The dismissal of Easwaran early in the innings was a significant blow to Team B, as the captain is known for his ability to anchor the innings and provide stability at the top of the order. His wicket will undoubtedly put pressure on the remaining batsmen to step up and contribute to the team's total. The catch by Dhruv Jurel not only showcased his exceptional wicket-keeping skills but also highlighted the importance of having a reliable and agile gloveman behind the stumps.
