BENGALURU: Aman Mokhade shook off a lean run as Vidarbha beat holders Karnataka by six wickets under lights in the Vijay Hazare Trophy semifinal at the BCCI Centre of Excellence on Thursday.Mokhade (138 off 122 balls) anchored the chase after Vidarbha lost Atharva Taide early, starting watchfully before accelerating. He put on 98 for the second wicket with Dhruv Shorey and then added 147 for the third with former Karnataka batter Ravikumar Samarth, who stayed unbeaten on 76 as Vidarbha sealed the chase with 22 balls to spare.Karnataka’s 280 looked competitive but they were pegged back by disciplined bowling and a five-wicket haul from pacer Darshan Nalkande.

Devdutt Padikkal endured a rare failure (4), and Mayank Agarwal fell early, leaving Karun Nair and Krishnan Shrijith to rebuild.
