After restricting Mumbai to 254/8 in their 50 overs, Karnataka were cruising, despite the early dismissal of skipper Mayank Agarwal (12). Bad light at 4.20 pm and subsequent drizzle halted play with Karnataka at 187/1 after 33 overs — comfortably ahead of the par score of 132. On the adjoining ground, Saurashtra also booked their semifinal berth, edging past Uttar Pradesh by 17 runs in another weather interrupted contest.SCORES: Mumbai 254/8 in 50 overs (S Mulani 86; V Kaverappa 2-43, A Shetty 2-59, V Patil 3-42) lost to Karnataka 187/1 in 33 overs (D Padikkal 81*, K Nair 74*) via VJD method. UP 310/8 in 50 overs (A Goswami 88, S Rizvi 88*; C Sakariya 3-54, A Panwar 2-75, P Mankad 2-47) lost to Saurashtra 238/3 in 41 overs (H Desai 100*, Prerak Mankad 67) via VJD method.
