After restricting Mumbai to 254/8 in their 50 overs, Karnataka were cruising, despite the early dismissal of skipper Mayank Agarwal (12). Bad light at 4.20 pm and subsequent drizzle halted play with Karnataka at 187/1 after 33 overs — comfortably ahead of the par score of 132. On the adjoining ground, Saurashtra also booked their semifinal berth, edging past Uttar Pradesh by 17 runs in another weather interrupted contest.
