Vasudeva Das hits ton for Trotters

CHENNAI: K Shri Vasudeva Das shone with the bat for Globe Trotters as he hit a 103-ball 107 in the side's drawn TNCA first division Elite clash against Grand Slam here on Thursday. Vasudeva Das' innings was laced with 16 fours. Trotters' other significant contributor was K Mukunth who made 135. The team declared their innings at 457 for six declared in reply to Grand Slam's 235.
On the opening day of their Elite clash against India Pistons, Young Stars' skipper Wilkins Victor scored an unbeaten 101 that had 13 fours and arrived in 254 deliveries which helped the side end the opening day on 214 for 7.M Suresh Babu (34) and S Swaminathan (29) were the other significant contributors. For the bowling side, offie M Prabhu (2 for 34) and left-arm spinner Maan K Bafna (2 for 40) stood out.
In another Elite match, Vijay CC Baba Aparajith (76, 6x4, 2x6) and G Rahul Singh (95 batting, 9x4, 1x5, 1x6) helped the side finish Day 1 on 369 for 4 against Nelson.
In Plate League games, left-arm spinner M Siddharth shone with 5 for 31 for Alwarpet against CromBest. The drawn encounter saw Alwarpet declare on 474-8 before bowling out CromBest for 143 in their first essay with Siddharth being the wrecker-in-chief. Following on, CromBest made 248 for 7 in their second innings. TI Cycles too drew their match against UFCC (T Nagar).
On Day 1 of their Plate clash, AG's Office were motoring only at 317 for 4 against Jolly Rovers.
