, they wouldn't let her play with them.

"The journey has not been smooth. When I walked in the tracks with a cricket bat, people would complain to my father. But my family is supportive," said Trisha, who honed her skill at the St. John's Cricket Academy in Hyderabad, a place where India captain Mithali Raj has practiced as well.

"I don't care about what people say and would rather focus on what I want. Cricket is only a game but they have developed in her a fighting spirit," she added.

Trisha remembers the joy on her parents' faces when a well-wisher came home one day to tell them she had scored 91 in a league match and that the local media needed a photograph.

When she was four years old, she started playing on the ground and she began improving rapidly. According to a former India woman cricketer, Trisha has a bright future. "Her energy and passion for cricket will definitely strengthen her case for a spot in the senior team. "I wish her all the success in future," the former player said.
