N Jagadeesan

and Baba Indrajith were among the prominent names to have not been retained by their

Tamil Nadu Premier League

(

TNPL

) franchises.


While Lyca Kovai Kings chose to not seek the services of Abhinav, who had captained the side in the previous edition, Dindigul Dragons hasn't retained Jagadeesan who has been with the team since the first season in 2016. Ruby Trichy Warriors too have decided to let go off Indrajith.

Franchises can retain up to 3 players and a maximum 2 players who have represented the state in senior domestic tournaments. Fresh registrations for players who have not been retained will commence from January 6. Forms will be available at TNCA offices and can be downloaded from the website.

The last date to return the duly filled forms is on January 25. The fourth edition of the tournament was clinched by

. Chepauk has won the competition on two occasions while Tuti Patriots and Siechem Madurai Panthers have clinched the crown once each.
