Himmat Singh scored an unbeaten 125 to help Vijay CC end on 232 for 4 at stumps on the opening day of their TNCA Elite first division clash against Globe Trotters on Saturday.
Himmat's 141-ball essay contained 11 fours and six sixers, and was his maiden hundred in the league. In the company of G
Rahul Singh (58, 6x4, 1x6), Himmat added 158 runs in 29.4 overs for the fourth wicket to help Vijay CC call the shots.
In another Elite encounter, Nelson's right-arm medium pacer W Antony Dhas bagged his first five wicket haul of the season, returning with figures of 5 for 48 as they bowled out India Pistons for 163 in 54.4 overs. Ganapathi Chandrasekar was the top-scorer with 37.
