The development finally kicks off the procedure to address their grievance. In emails (TOI has a copy) to both Rajput and Kulkarni on Monday, Tahilramani has written: "Dear sir, this email is to inform you that we have received your complaint dated April 8, 2021. As the lockdown restrictions have been partially eased in the city from today, we have resumed work in the office though in a limited capacity and your complaint will soon be looked into. Regards."

In separate emails to the MCA Ombudsman, Rajput and Kulkarni had alleged interference from office-bearers during the appointment of coaches and selectors, and had sought their committee to be reinstated. They had also requested a stay, pending an inquiry, on all the appointments of coaches' and selectors' by the new CIC.

The MCA's new CIC, headed by former India batsman Jatin Paranjape, had last week appointed former Mumbai captain Amol Muzumdar as the head coach for the 2020-21 domestic season.
