Divyang Cricket Control Board of India

is all set to launch its maiden

T20 league

for the differently-abled cricketers. The

Divyang Premier League T20

(DPL) scheduled to start from November 2 will be a five-team affair in the UAE. The participating teams -

Kolkata Knight Fighters

, Delhi Challengers, Chennai Superstars, Mumbai Ideals and Rajasthan Rajwadas - will be playing in the round robin format with the top two teams playing the final.

"We have got clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs to conduct the league at Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi. Right now we are looking for sponsors and have already approached Dream 11, Paytm and ACC," Divyang Cricket Control Board secretary Haroon Rasheed informed.

Rasheed is expected to be in Kolkata in next couple of days to meet CAB president Avishek Dalmiya regarding city-based outfit Kolkata Knight Fighters. "This is a small-scale venture with the objective of giving the differently-abled cricketers the recognition and status they deserve," Rasheed added. Every team will consist of 13 players and a coach, physio and manager.
