KOLKATA: Experienced Bengal wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha will look to take a crucial step towards making a comeback to the national side when he leads India 'A' against South Africa 'A' in the second and final unofficial 'Test' which begins in Mysuru on Tuesday.
An injury, followed by shoulder surgery, saw Saha lose his India berth to rising talent Rishabh Pant. Back in the mix after missing action for over a year, Saha was named in the India squad on the recent tour of the West Indies.

However, he didn't get an opportunity as Pant donned the big gloves in both Test matches which India won.
Bit with Pant's keeping skills on Indian pitches yet to be tested in the longest format, Saha will fancy his chances and a good to showing in Mysuru will do his cause no harm. However, the Siliguri boy will also look to get some important runs under his belt to strengthen his case.
The match will be important for another Bengal player Abhimanyu Easwaran, who is knocking on the doors of the Test side. The opener has been named Bengal skipper this season and hence should display the nerves for the tough domestic season ahead.
Although Shubman Gill piped Easwaran to the squad for the upcoming South Africa Test series, Easwaran - who has been named Bengal skipper this season - knows very well that he has to keep performing and impressing the national selectors.
