Indian cricket fans have another exciting reason to follow the upcoming SA20 Season 3, as former Indian cricketer and 2007 T20 World Cup winner Robin Uthappa is set to join the league's commentary team.
The highly anticipated tournament will run from 9 January, 2025 to 8 February and will be broadcast live on Sports18 and JioCinema in India.
Uthappa’s inclusion in the commentary panel marks an exciting chapter in his post-playing career, where he transitions into the role of commentator and analyst.
Known for his extensive IPL career with teams like Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings, Uthappa will bring expert insights and fresh perspectives to Indian viewers as he analyses one of the fastest-growing T20 leagues in the world.
The commentary team features a host of global cricketing icons. Joining Uthappa are legends such as Kevin Pietersen, Shaun Pollock, and Stuart Broad, alongside former South African stars Chris Morris and Ashwell Prince. Renowned cricket commentator Mpumelelo “Pommie” Mbangwa, with his signature voice and deep analysis, will add further appeal to the broadcast.
The commentary lineup will be headlined by AB de Villiers, South Africa’s legendary “Mr. 360”. Known for his dynamic understanding of the game, de Villiers’ insights are expected to be a major highlight of the coverage.
