Rohit Sharma's selflessness will inspire future generations: BCCI president Roger Binny
Roger Binny, former ODI World Cup winner (1983) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, and secretary Devajit Saikia have showered praise on Rohit Sharma, who announced his retirement from Test cricket on Wednesday.
"Rohit Sharma’s impact on Indian cricket transcends records and statistics. He brought a sense of calm and assurance to the team – both as a player and as a captain," said Roger Binny.

"His ability to stay composed under pressure and to consistently put the team’s needs above his own made him a truly special player and leader. He leaves behind not just a remarkable playing record, but a culture of discipline and selflessness that will inspire future generations.”
Rohit Sharma has already announced his retirement from T20Is after ending India's ICC title drought in 2025. Rohit, under whose captaincy India won the 2025 Champions Trophy, will continue to be a part of India’s ODI campaigns.

Since making his debut in 2013, Rohit Sharma has played 67 Tests, scoring 4,301 runs at an average of 40.57, including 12 centuries and a career-best 212.

I think there is a typographical error. It is not selflessness but Selfishness to continue to play and be the captain inspite of flopping continuously which will inspire future generations not to announce retirement until he is booted out by the BCCI and bunch of jokersRead allPost comment
