"Yes, I will be available for the game," Rohit said when asked about his plans for the match.

The India skipper, however, emphasised the importance of taking breaks to maintain mental and physical fitness.

"In the last six or seven years, if you look at our calendar, we haven’t been home for 45 days while cricket is going on," he explained. "You do get some time when the IPL finishes, and there’s a brief pause before other commitments, but that’s rare."

Rohit dismissed any notion of players taking the Ranji Trophy for granted.

"Our domestic season runs from October to March. Players who aren’t involved in all formats can participate more regularly. But for someone like me, who has been playing Test cricket regularly since 2019, finding time is difficult. You need time off to refresh when playing international cricket consistently. Nobody takes it for granted," Rohit explained.
