Ramesh Powar wants to coach Mumbai

MUMBAI: Almost four months after he quit as the spin coach at the

Mumbai Cricket Association

's (MCA) BKC facility after his request to hold a camp for young spinners went unheeded, former India and Mumbai offspinner Ramesh Powar wants to throw his hat in the ring for the Mumbai coaching job, left vacant after former India stumper Sameer Dighe quit his post after a season.


"I want to apply for the job. I was there for six-seven months, and I know exactly what the issues in the system are. I am extremely emotionally attached to Mumbai cricket, and would like to give something back to it. I know where our team lacks at the moment, and what can be done to rectify it," Powar told TOI on Sunday from
