CromBest, in their match against TI Cycles, rode Wilkins Victor's 155-ball 116 to post 296 for 5. Victor's knock contained 12 fours and 3 sixes. At stumps, M Affan Khader was unbeaten on 35.

Opener R Nilesh Subramanian (126 batting) and Suresh Kumar (114) were the leading scorers for MCC as they ended the opening day at 282 for 2 against India Pistons. The duo put together 229 runs in 69.5 overs for the second wicket to propel MCC's innings.

In another match, Jolly Rovers were calling the shots against Nelson. After bowling out Nelson for 160, Jolly Rovers were placed at 102 for 2. Skipper M Kaushik Gandhi shone with the bat scoring 50.

Meanwhile, GlobeTrotters were 345 for 8 with handy contributions from S Aniruda (67) and S Radhakrishnan (58) in their clash against MRC 'A'.
