The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed dissatisfaction with the International Cricket Council over the exclusion of Pakistan's captain Salman Ali Agha from the promotional poster for the upcoming T20 World Cup ticket sales, which only featured five captains from other nations.
The promotional poster showcased Suryakumar Yadav from India, Aiden Markram from South Africa, Mitchell Marsh from Australia, Dasun Shanaka from Sri Lanka, and Harry Brook from England.
A PCB source revealed that they have raised this issue with the ICC.
"We faced the same issues when the Asia Cup was held a few months back and that time the broadcasters had started a promotional campaign without our captain featuring in it," the source stated.
"We are facing a similar situation this time as the ICC has not projected our captain on the promotional poster for ticket sales," the source added.
The source mentioned that during the Asia Cup, the situation was resolved after the PCB approached the Asian Cricket Council.
Despite Pakistan not being among the top five teams in ICC T20 rankings, the source emphasized that the country has a rich cricket legacy and remains one of the main attractions in the World Cup.
The PCB is optimistic that the ICC will include the Pakistan captain in future promotional materials and campaigns.
