In a bid to provide an ecosystem to budding women cricketers to help them reach their highest potential, Jaipuria

Cricket Academy

launched the Kheloday Sports Academy for women in association with Aavas Foundation at the Jaipuria Vidyalaya Ground here on Wednesday.

The

new women

's cricket academy's sole intention is to provide high quality coaching to talented female cricketers for free.

Talking about the launch, mentor Rohit Jhalani, who represented Rajasthan in 69 first class matches apart from leading the state side said: "We had launched the women's academy long time back and have 30 girls already training here with 14-15 of them already doing well for Rajasthan. The problem was a lack of sponsor as we were doing it on our own. We are happy that with Aawas Foundation coming on board we can provide them better equipment, facilities and training. There are many talented cricketers in the state who didn't know where to go to fulfil their dreams, with Kheloday I am sure they will get the chance to pursue it proper."
