clash at the Palam Ground in New Delhi on Wednesday. In the low-scoring contest, Pondicherry could only manage to score 126 for 5 in their quota of 20 overs.
They got off to a steady start with openers X Thalaivan Sargunam (17, 2x4) and D Rohit (37, 3x4, 2x6) piecing together a 44-run stand for the opening wicket in 8.2 overs. No. 3
Paras Dogra (41, 3x4, 1x6) then added 22 with skipper Rohit before the latter was dismissed in the 12th over.
Despite the top-3 contributing with the bat, Pondicherry failed to get the momentum needed in the final overs as they could only score 60 in the last 9 overs.
