MUMBAI: A depleted Mumbai team, comprising largely of youngsters and led by left-arm spinner Shams Mulani, succumbed to a two-wicket defeat at the hands of Oman in their first T20 game of the tour on Tuesday.

in Amerat, Muscat, Oman, after winning toss and fielding first, restricted Mumbai to 131 for nine in 20 overs. The hosts then chased down the target in 18.3 overs, losing eight wickets in the process. Oman are coached by former Sri Lankan captain Duleep Mendis, while for Mumbai, this is new coach Amol Muzumdar's first assignment.
