invitational tournament clash at the CPT-IP (Turf) ground here on Sunday. The 20-year-old's 231-ball essay was studded with 12 hits to the fence and three sailing past the ropes. In pursuit of 340, Jyotsnil single-handedly kept his side in the hunt by mixing caution with aggression. The right-handed batsman did receive good support from his teammates Abhijit Karambelkar (46) and Dixit Patel (44 n.o.) as they ended up scoring 343 for 4 in 87.2 overs.
In another match, TNCA Districts XI got the better of Haryana by 102 runs. Taking first strike, the local side finished on 223 for 8 in 50 overs. Skipper N Jagadeesan (88, 6x4, 4x6) led the show with the bat. For the visitors, Rahul Tewatia (3-80) and
Ashok Sandhu (2-48) shone with the ball. In reply, Haryana were bowled for 121 in 37.3 overs. R Rohit (3-30), Antony Dhas (2-16), J Kousik (2-9) and DT Chandrasekar (2-20) contributed with the ball.
