Ranchi Raiders

registered their fourth win of the

Jharkhand T20 League

as they defeated

Dhanbad Dynamos

by 1 run at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on Saturday.

In the first match of the day, the Dynamos decided to field first as the Raiders racked up 143/8 in their 20 overs. Harsh Rana top-scored for the Raiders with 31, while Prem Kumar and Pankaj Kumar chipped in with scores of 26 and 25, respectively. Abhishek Yadav picked up two wickets for the Dynamos.

Chasing 144 for their sixth win of the league, the Dynamos came agonizingly close before finishing at 142/5 in their 20 overs. Their chase was dominated by Satya Setu who cracked an unbeaten 57off just 33 balls to bring his side within touching distance of a thrilling win. The Dynamos batsman hammered five fours and three sixes and despite his team finishing a run short, was awarded the Man-of-the-Match. The other notable contribution for the Dynamos came from captain

Nazim Siddique

who scored 26 in 16 balls.

In the second match of the day, the Dumka Daredevils squared off against

the Singhbhum Strikers

and notched their fifth win of the tournament by 58 runs.

Electing to bat, the Daredevils scored 132/3 in 20 overs with Aayush Kumar hitting an unbeaten 48 off 24 balls, which included four boundaries and three sixes. Opener Arnav Sinha too scored a valuable 38 of 41 balls.

In pursuit of 133 runs, the Strikers could muster only 74 runs as they were all-out by the end of the 14th over. Besides opener Pratik Bhakat who scored 28, none of the Strikers batsmen could stay long enough at the crease as Daredevils’ Harshdev snared five wickets to keep his side at the top of the points table. His five-wicket haul earned Gautam the Man-of-the-Match award.
