India's wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan and all-rounder Riyan Parag have checked in at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru for the routine fitness assessment, TOI has learnt.
Kishan is set to lead East Zone in the Duleep Trophy, and Parag is also part of the same squad.

Kishan, who has played two Tests, 27 ODIs and 32 T20Is, suffered from an ankle injury recently, when he reportedly fell off a scooty, which forced the national selectors to pick N Jagadeesan as the injured Rishabh Pant's replacement.
Parag has played one ODI and no T20Is, and captained the Rajasthan Royals for a few matches in IPL 2025 in the absence of an injured Sanju Samson.
Meanwhile, India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and T20I opener Abhishek Sharma are already in the CoE for routine fitness tests, while middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer also went to the CoE for the same purpose recently.
India's T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, who has started batting in the nets after undergoing a sports hernia surgery, is also at the CoE.
Starting from the Asia Cup, which will be played in a T20 format, India have a busy white-ball 2025-26 season, with a home series against Australia in October (three ODIs and five T20Is), against South Africa in November-December (three ODIs and five T20Is), and against New Zealand in January (three ODIs and five T20Is), followed by the 2026 T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka in February-March. Surely, both Kishan and Parag will be in the fray for all these white-ball tournaments.
