Rajwinder Singh
(5 for 46) and offie M Prabhu (3 for 90) were the star performers for India Pistons. This was Rajwinder’s second five-wicket haul in the season.
Kunal Chandela, who scored a 127-ball 91, was the leading contributor for the losing side.
Defending champions Grand Slam — who declared their opening essay on 426-8 — bowled out Alwarpet for 296 in their drawn clash. Leg-spinner M Abhinav (5 for 70) was the wrecker-in-chief. He now has 39 wickets to his name in the season. Manpreet Juneja (132, 17x4, 2x6) was the top-scorer for Alwarpet and was well-supported by U Mukilesh who made a 112-ball 68.
Left-arm spinner Ganesh Moorthi’s 6 for 46 helped MCC bowl out MRC ‘A’ for 178 in their drawn encounter. For MRC ‘A’, B Rahul scored an unbeaten 79. MCC had declared their first innings on 433 for 7.
In another drawn encounter, Rahil Shah’s 6 for 71 helped Vijay CC bowl out Nelson for 259. This was the third five-wicket haul of the season for the left-arm spinner. Vijay CC were earlier bowled out for 397. For Nelson, Anand Subramanian topped the batting charts with 87.
The match between Young Stars and Jolly Rovers too ended in a draw.
