ICC rankings: Yashasvi Jaiswal remains India's top-ranked Test batter; Rashid Khan regain top spot in ODIs

His impressive 213 runs at an average of 71.00 against Bangladesh helped him climb eight points to secure the second position, just 20 rating points behind India's captain Shubman Gill.Rashid Khan also improved his standing in the all-rounders category, jumping two spots to reach fourth place, further highlighting Afghanistan's dominance across all three ODI standings.Other Afghanistan players also made notable gains in the rankings. Rahmanullah Gurbaz moved up two places to 16th, while Mohammad Nabi climbed six positions to share the 50th spot in the batting rankings.This series marked Afghanistan's first-ever whitewash against their Asian rivals, strengthening their position for the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will be hosted by South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe.In Test cricket, Indian players showed improvement following their 2-0 series victory against the West Indies. Opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal rose to fifth position behind England's Joe Root in the Test batting rankings.Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav advanced seven positions to 14th place among Test bowlers after taking 12 wickets in two matches.West Indies players also made progress despite the series loss. Shai Hope jumped 34 places to share the 66th position, while John Campbell, who scored a century, moved up six spots to 68th in the Test batting rankings.West Indies vice-captain Jomel Warrican improved his position in the Test bowling rankings, climbing two spots to reach 30th place.
