Pakistan all-rounder Aamir Jamal has shared the heartbreaking news of his newborn baby’s passing. The 29-year-old cricketer posted a deeply emotional message on his social media on Wednesday, confirming the loss.
Jamal shared a photograph of his baby’s tiny hand wrapped around his finger and wrote, “From Allah, to Allah. I couldn’t hold you longer my lil Angel. Baba & mama will miss you. May you stay on highest ranks in Heaven.”

Former Pakistan women’s team captain Sana Mir was among those who offered words of support. "May Allah give you and your wife strength to bear the loss," she wrote under the post.
Messages also poured in from Jamal’s close associates, including Mansoor Rana, Rai M. Azlan, Pranav Mahajan, and entrepreneur Hamza Naqvi, who wrote, “Please accept my condolences. I am praying for you and your family in this difficult moment. You’re an incredible cricketer, with a big heart, and I hope to see you represent Pakistan soon.”
Jamal, who represents Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, has played eight Tests, three ODIs, and six T20Is for Pakistan. He last featured in the two-match Test series against South Africa in January 2025 and is currently turning out for Lahore Region Whites in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.
Over his short international career, the right-arm pacer has taken 21 wickets in Tests and five across limited-overs formats. He also has 99 wickets in 40 first-class matches, marking him as one of Pakistan’s promising all-rounders.
Earlier this year, Jamal was among eight players left out of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s central contracts for 2025–26. Following that decision, he had shared a cryptic post on Instagram, stating, “Let them understand you, let them talk, Allah knows…”
Messages of solidarity continue to pour in for Aamir Jamal and his family during this difficult time.
