HCA League: Khalsa carve out 80-run win over Postal in high-scoring game

HYDERABAD: In a high-scoring game where five centuries were recorded, Khalsa carved out an 80-run win over Postal in the HCA’s A-2 Division (2-day) League Championship, here.
Batting first, Khalsa ran up a mammoth 461 for nine declared as Vinay Yadav made a top score of 167 off 157 balls with 19 fours and six sixes. Joining the run-riot were S Vikranth, who scored 117 off 86 balls with 14 fours and seven sixes, and Amith Kumar Singh who plundered 102 off 89 balls with 11 hits to the fence and four over it.
Postal made a spirited reply with Nishanth Yadav and Jyothi Sai Krishna hammering centuries but they fell short of the target. Postal made 381 with Nishanth scoring a 192-ball 167 (16x4, 1x6) and Krishna getting 150 (165b; 20x4, 2x6).
Siddharth Naidu struck a 160-ball 158 (25x4, 1x6) to power Balaaji CC to a 139-run win over Sri Shyam.
Khayyum Md (168), Aman Mishra (146), Arnav Kutapally (128), Prajwan (105), Sahasra Reddy (103), Vk Siddharth (101) were the others to score centuries.
