The BCCI on Monday extended warm birthday wishes to former India head coach and legendary all-rounder Ravi Shastri. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), BCCI highlighted Shastri’s remarkable contributions to Indian cricket, both as a player and a coach.

He also achieved the rare feat of batting on all five days of a Test match—one of the game's unique landmarks. As head coach, Shastri led India to historic Test series wins in Australia and played a key role in shaping a confident, aggressive team culture.
Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh also paid tribute, posting:
