NEW DELHI: With the Delhi High Court ordering elections for few posts in the embattled Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), it has emerged that former BCCI acting president

Shashi Khanna

is likely to contest for the post of president. As per the HC order, the elections need to be conducted at the earliest since the state association has been a headless body for close to eight months now after

Rajat Sharma

stepped down citing corruption in the association.

This term, however, will be for less than a year since Sharma had served 16 months of his tenure before resigning. The elections are likely to be held as soon as the threat of coronavirus recedes in Delhi.
