The incident occurred during the 18th over of the Dolphins Pakistan innings when Muhammad Akhlaq launched a high shot off Usama Mir's bowling.

Ayub, positioned at long off, successfully caught the ball but, in an attempt to mimic Suryakumar's style, inadvertently threw it beyond the boundary ropes, conceding six runs.
