MUMBAI: In a bid to encourage people to watch women's cricket, the BCCI has kept entry free for the five-match Women's T20I series between India and Australia here, which will kick off with the first game at the DY Patil Stadium on Friday.
"There'll be complimentary tickets which the fans will have to collect at the gates of the stadium. However, the spectators won't be charged anything for the tickets," a source told TOI.
Night games on Powar's adviceMeanwhile, all the five matches -the first two at the DY Patil Stadium and the last three at the Brabourne Stadium in CCI-will be night games, with the starting time being 7 pm.
"It was previous India head coach Ramesh Powar's idea to play all night games in this series, as he wanted our bowlers, particularly the spinners, to get used to bowling with a wet ball when the dew starts to come. Our bowlers need to be used to such wet conditions under the lights, as there will be quite a few night games in the T20 World Cup in South Africa," said a source.
