The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced their 14-member squad on Sunday.

The series begins on August 21 at Old Trafford.

Crawley, aged 26, sustained the injury during England's third Test win over the West Indies last month.

Additionally, seamer Dillon Pennington will be absent because of a hamstring injury.

Jordan Cox has been called up to the Test squad for the first time. The 23-year-old middle-order batter was previously part of the white-ball squad that toured Pakistan in 2022.
