MUMBAI: Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara struck a breezy half century to star in Indian Oil's second successive victory in the 13th D Y Patil T20 Cup Cricket Tournament on Thursday.

Pujara scored a 52-ball 53 and Ravikant Shukla's quick-fore 40 off 30 balls helped Indian Oil overhaul Mumbai Customs' target of 135 with four wickets and a ball to spare.

Jain Irrigation opener Faiz Fazal struck four sixes and six fours in making 74 off just 53 balls at no. 3 to play the lead role for his side's six-wicket win over Western Railway.

Batting first Western Railway posted 157-8 in their 20 overs which was easily overhauled by Jain Irrigation who rode on Fazal's brisk knock.

In the other games for the day, State Bank of Travancore posted a comfortable eight-wicket win over Mumbai Police, while the much fancied Air India went down to DY Patil 'A' by 33 runs.

Brief scores: Group D: Mumbai Customs 135 in 18.5 overs (Adeeb Usmani 66, Gaurav Yadav 3-11, Rohan Raje 3-18, Khizar Dafedar 2-25) lost to Indian Oil 140-6 in 19.5 overs (Cheteshwar Pujara 53, Ravikant Shukla 40; Sagar Udeshi 2-10) by four wickets.

Group C: Mumbai Police 144-7 in 20 overs (Shrideep Mangela 42, Sunil Patil 37, Alpesh Ramjani 26; Murugan Ashwin 2-29) lost to State Bank of Travancore 145-2 in 17.1 overs (Kevin Oskar 50 not out, Rahul P 39) by eight wickets.

Group B: D Y Patil 'A' 163-8 in 20 overs (Shivam Dubey 42, Deepak Hooda 38; Sukhvindar Singh 5-25) bt Air India 130-8 in 20 overs (Lalit Yadav 49 not out, Kunj Sharma 30; Aniket Chaudhary 2-23,

2-23, Piyush Chawla 2-28) by 33 runs.

Group A: Western Railway 157-8 in 20 overs (Samarth Vyas 65, Ahad Malik 48; Anant Tambvekar 4-18, Rakesh Prabhu 3-25) lost to Jain Irrigation 158-4 in 18.1 overs (Faiz Fazal 74, Jay Bista 35, Urvesh Patel 35 not out; Hardik Rathod 2-23, Vijay Gadavi 2-33) by six wickets.
