MUMBAI: Veteran seamer Dhawal Kulkarni will lead Mumbai in the Buchi Babu tournament, which will be held from August 15 to September 5 at four venues in Tamil Nadu.
On Tuesday, Mumbai's senior selection committee, led by former India pacer Raju Kulkarni, picked a 16-man squad for the tourney, which involves four-day matches and serves as preparation for the upcoming domestic season.
12 domestic teams will take part in the tournament, which is being revived after a long gap (around 6-7 years), and is being held for the first time post covid.
Opener Jay Bista, who captained Uttarakhand in the 2021-22 season, has returned to the Mumbai team, while youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi-top-scored for the triumphant India Under-19 team in the U-19 World Cup in West Indies in early 2022, has been picked too.
