Shalini and Priya were involved in a 36-run stand for the third wicket that helped the side gain momentum. For Tamil Nadu, KN Ramyashri (2 for 8) and D Hemalatha (1 for 20) led the way with the ball. Chhattisgarh pocketed 4 points for their efforts.

In other matches, Odisha scored an eight-wicket win over Tripura. Taking first strike, Tripura made 110 for 6. In reply, Odisha were able to chase down the total - scoring 112 for 2 - in 18.2 overs. Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) too reigned supreme over Punjab, registering a 6-run victory. J&K managed to score 100 for 5 from their 20 overs with Rubia Syed leading the charge - scoring 50. Punjab, in their reply, finished on 94 in 19.3 overs. Sandhya Sayal stood out with bowling figures of 4 for 9.
